2019年2月11日（月）「建国記念の日」に、「2019年 国際こども会議」を無事開催しました。

今回は小学生が対象です。

日本（沖縄県）、タイ（ランパン）、台湾（台南市）、マレーシア（ペナン）の4カ国の小学生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿ってお互いの意見を交換しました。

今回のテーマは、「友だちって何？」です。

友だちについて、５つの質問を通して意見交換を行いました。また、それぞれの伝統的な遊びの紹介も行いました。

We held the "International Children's Conference 2019" on February 11 at 14:30 Japan time successfully.

"What is a friend?"

We expected students to exchange opinions each other through 5 questions under the theme.

Also, we introduces traditional games to each other.

It must be an exciting thing for them to cummunicate each other among same ages beyond country borders.

【 第2回事前研修】11日（午前）　2nd preparation meeting (in the morning on Feb 11th)

 

本会議の前に、第2回の事前研修を行いました。

まずは、楽しくゲームから。

We held the 2nd preparation meeting in the morning with a game at the begining.

スタッフの自己紹介です。

Firstly self introduction of staff.

参加者全員が自己紹介します。

All members introduced themselves.

次は、それぞれのグループに分かれて会議に向けた準備です。「友だちとの過ごし方ベスト５」を紹介するグループは、発表資料を完成させています。

Then, students work as groups. "Best 5 of the ways of spending time with friends" group is completing the presentation paper.

伝統的遊びを紹介するグループは、実際に会場で「だるまさんが転んだ」を試しています。

"Introduction of a traditional game" group is practicing "Daruma san ga koronda" game.

残りのメンバーは、英語の通訳も入った形で会議の予行演習です。

【 国際子ども会議】

では、会議本番です！

Now, we start the conference!

まず、それぞれの国の伝統的な遊びを紹介します。日本側は、「だるまさんが転んだ」を紹介しました。

Firstly, each side shows a traditional game. Japan side shows "Daruma san ga koronda".

 

台湾からは、「こま遊び」と「黑白猜（hei bai chei）」の紹介がありました。

From Taiwan side, "Spinning top" game and "Hei bai chei" game were introduced.

マレーシアからは、「Congkak（チョンカ）」というゲームを紹介してくれました。

From Malaysia side, "Congkak" game was introduced.

タイからは、「Mon son pa」というゲームを紹介してくれました。

From Thailand side, "Mon son pa" game was introduced.

質問のやり取りもあります。

We exchange questions and answers.

そして、「友だちとの過ごし方ベスト５」の紹介です。4か国、同時にベスト５を紹介しました。

Then students from each side introduced "Best 5 of the ways of spending time with friends" at the same time.

休憩時間には、沖縄タイムスの記者の方からインタビューもありました。

Students were interviewed by a news reporter of Okinawa Times.

【本会議：　友だちって何？】  Main theme "What is a friend?"

「友だちって何？」というテーマについて、具体的な５つの質問に沿って議論を進めました。

質問１：『友だち』ということばのイメージはどんなもの？

質問２：友だちはたくさんいた方がいい？ 少なくてもいい？

質問３：あなたは、どうやって友だちをつくる？

質問４：『友達がいてよかった！』と思った時の体験を紹介してください。

質問５：大切な友だちって、どんな友だち？

Students discussed the theme according to 5 different questions.

Q2. Do you think you should have many friends, or are fewer friends enough?

音声が聞き取りにくい場面や、英語が分かりにくい場面など、いくつかの問題もありましたが、全体としてはうまくいったように思います。

参加した子供たちも、大いに楽しんだようです。

まだまだ一般には知られていないイベントのようですが、こうやって定期開催していくことで、少しずつ広がっていくものと期待しています。

There was sound problem and also difficulties during English translation. But as a whole, we can say that the conference was successful.

Students are all excited a lot.

This conference is not well knowed yet, but through these events, we hope it will be recognized gradually.

2月2日（土）に「2019年 国際子ども会議」（小学生版）の第1回事前研修を開催しました。

今回は15名の子供たちが参加してくれました。（2月11日の第2回の事前研修から参加する子供たちもいます。）

参加者は、北は東村や名護市から、南は北中城や宜野湾市など、いろいろな地域から参加してくれています。

今回の事前研修は、まずはお互いの顔合わせと、2月11日の国際会議に向けた準備をするためのものでした。

最初はさすがにみんな緊張していましたが、はじめにゲームをしたりして打ち解けたようで、その後はだれもが積極的に研修に関わってくれました。さすが「有志」の集まりです。

今回は、特に本題である「友だちって何？」というテーマにつて、5つの質問をもとに本番さながらの議論を行いました。想像以上の積極性で、みんな意見を述べ合ってくれたので、11日の会議が本当に楽しみです。

We held the first preparation meeting for "International Children's Conference 2019" for primary school students on February 2.

15 students from different areas joined for the meeting. (Some are from more than 1 hour drive distance.)

 This meeting was to meet together for the first time and prepare things for the conference on Feb 11th.

It wasn't take time to get to know each other after they enjoyed games together.

They were so energetic and active during this meeting, and they could exchange ideas a lot about the theme "What is a friend?". We gave them 5 questions about "friend" in advance, and they discussed those questions.

We are very much looking forward to seeing the conference on Feb 11th.

 事前研修の始まり。まだみんな緊張気味。

 まずはゲームから。フルーツバスケットでスタート！

 今回、ボランティアスタッフが、学校の試験などで参加できなくて、ひとりだけでした。

 2月11日の国際会議の詳細について、資料を使って説明しました。

事前にワークシートで、友だちについての5つの質問をしています。そのワークシートをもとに、みんなに意見を述べてもらいました。

 

 みんな積極的に自らの考えを述べ、そして、また積極的にその意見について質問が飛び交いました。

 それらの意見をすべて書き留めていきます。

 その後、それぞれが「日本（沖縄）の伝統的遊びの紹介」「日本（沖縄）の学校紹介」「友だちとの過ごし方ベスト５の紹介」の３つのグループに分かれ、発表の準備をしていきます。

 「日本（沖縄）の学校紹介」グループは、何を紹介するかを話し合い、そしてネットから写真を選んでいきます。学校がそれぞれ違うので、どう紹介するかを考える必要があります。

 「友だちとの過ごし方ベスト５の紹介」グループは、みんなにアンケートを取り、ベスト５を決めて、それを用紙に書き込んでいきます。英語版も準備します。

 「日本（沖縄）の伝統的遊びの紹介」グループは、まず何の遊びを紹介するかを考え、その後実際に遊んでみて、必要な時間や必要な広さ、などを確かめていきました。

 グループ作業の終わりに、それぞれの進行状況を説明しました。

 最後に、国際会議での役割分担を行ました。特に司会役の選考では、びっくりすることに７名もの子供が手を挙げました！　しかも、いつもそのような役をやっている者ではない子供たちが積極的に立候補したのは驚きです。

 その場で立候補者の司会希望理由の発表と、投票を行い、無事２名の司会者が決まりました。

 今回の１５名と当日参加のメンバーと共に、本番の２月１１日の国際会議が楽しみです！

先日10月21日に、「2019年 高校生国際会議」開催のための第1回実行委員会を行いました。今回はテーマ決めと役割決めです。
今度の会議は、高校生スタッフを中心として運営します。我々スプラタルカはサポート役です。

We had the first meeting to organize the conference on October 21. This time, high school students staff are the main staff to organize it. Supratarka will support them.

沖縄の民放3局が取材に来られ、夕方のニュースで放送されました。沖縄タイムスの新聞にも掲載されました。

"International Children's Conference 2018" was introduced through TV news and a news paper.

2018年7月16日（月）「海の日」　午後3時から「2018年 国際こども会議」を開催しました。

今回の会議は中学生が対象です。

日本（沖縄県）、タイ（バンコク）、台湾（台南市）、マレーシア（ペナン）の4カ国の中学生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿ってお互いの意見を交換します。

今回のテーマは、「あなたの国や地域のなかで、世界の平和に貢献すると思う何かをひとつ紹介して下さい。」です。

　＊「何か」とは、例えば伝統や考え、人、歴史、もの、場所などを指します。

　それぞれの国にあって、世界の平和に貢献するであろう何かをお互いに発表し合うことで、お互いの文化や価値観を知り、相互理解を深めます。

　中学生という同世代同士の交流は、お互いの日常も含めて興味が尽きないはずです。

    *Look to your People, Culture, History, Places and Philosophy for Inspiration.

We expected students to understand each country's culture and history deeper, and also to realize their own culture and history deeply as well through discussions.

　「みなさん、こんにちは！」

　4カ国、それぞれの言葉で「こんにちは！」とあいさいつしました。

Hello everyone! We say hello to each other with each language (4 different phrases).

　では、さっそく司会が進行を進めます。

　まずはお互い「学校紹介」を行います。日本側から始めます。

Then the hosts facilitate the conference. We start from School Introduction each other. Japan side first.

　学校給食について。  Firlstly, about our School Lunch.

　掃除の時間の様子を紹介。  They are introducing the Cleanig Time at school.

　クラブ活動についての紹介。  They are introducing School Club Activities in Japan.

　次に、マレーシア側の学校紹介です。  Now Malaysia's turn.

　お互いの学校紹介が終わったところで、ちょっと休憩。

　そのタイミングで、テレビ局のインタビューが行われました。

　今回、民放3局（OTV、RBC、QAB）と沖縄タイムスが取材に来てくれました。それぞれ、夕方のニュースに流され、新聞に掲載されました。

We take short break after the School Introduction.

During that time, TV reporters took interviews. This time, 3 TV stations and a newspaper reporters came to the conference and broadcasted on TV news programs and printed on the newpaper.

　ここからが本題。

「あなたの国や地域のなかで、世界の平和に貢献すると思う何かをひとつ紹介して下さい。」

というテーマのもと、それぞれの意見を交換します。

まずは日本側から。日本側は、「平和の礎」を紹介します。

Now this is the main topic.

“What Would You Choose From Your Country/Area to Contribute to World Peace?”

With this theme, students exchange ideas and opinions.

We start from Japan side. Japan side selected the monument which is called "Cornerstone of Peace" built in Okinawa.

　沖縄にある「平和の礎」とその考え（特に日本人に限らずアメリカ人や他の国の戦死者・犠牲者も記録しているところ）は、世界の平和につながるであろうことを紹介しました。

"Cornerstone of Peace" will contribute to world peace, because it commemorates the Battle of Okinawa and has over 240,000 people’s names engraved that lost their lives in the war. These names are of soldiers, residents and all others that lost their lives, regardless of their nationality. 

 

　マレーシアからは、「マレーシアにはお互いの民族を尊重する文化がある。3主要民族（マレー系、インド系、中国系）の文化や宗教や祭りを大事にし、お互いを尊重する文化は、世界の平和につながると考える。」という発表があった。

Malaysia side selected their culture: "Respect Each Other".
Malaysia has differnt ethnic groups. The Malays, the Chines, the Indians are the main three ethnic groups in Malaysia.
All these groups are living in harmony in our country. This is due to the fact that we respect each other.

　台湾からは、「自分達の英語クラスでは、世界の文化の違いを具体的に知ることで、誤解や偏見をなくし、お互いを尊重するようにしている。このような授業は世界の平和につながると考える。」という発表があった。

 Taiwan side selected their English class activities.
"We think it is very important to introduce the cultural differences and taboos of other countries in our English classes."
Through these activities, we expect students to broaden their horizons, and eliminate misunderstanding and prejudice, and respect each other.

　タイからは、「ブッダの教え、特に「許し、受け入れる」という教えは、世界の平和につながると考える。」という発表があった。

Thailand side selected the Teachings of Buddha.
Especially the ideas of Forgiving and Accepting will contribute to world peace.

 

　質疑応答も積極的に行われました。  Students actively ask questions to each other.

　世界の平和に関する、個人の意見やアイデアの交換も行いました。

　日本からは、「年末に、事件や事故が一番少なかった国を表彰したらどうか？」などのアイデアの発表がありました。
　台湾からは、「世界的レスキュー部隊を作って、世界中すぐに助けに行ける仕組みがあったらいい。」などのアイデアが紹介されました。
　マレーシアからは、「お互い愛をもって接し、受け入れたら平和になると思う。」という意見がありました。
　タイからは、ブッダの教えが世界の平和につながると思うという意見がありました。

Students also exchanged their personal ideas about world peace.
From Japan side, one interesting idea was "How about giving a special award to the country which has least accidents and casualties in a year among all countries."
From Taiwan side, one idea was "It should be an International Rescue Team so that they can easily go and rescue people worldwide."
From Malaysia side, they said "If you treat others with love and try to accept others, the world will become peaceful."
From Thailand side, they said "Buddha's teachings will contribute to world peace."

　高校生のボランティアスタッフは、それらの意見を全て板書してくれました。  Volunteer staff (high school students ) took the minutes of those ideas.

 

　会議はあっという間に終了の時間となりました。

　もっといろいろ聞きたいこともあったと思いますが、今回はここまで。

　名残惜しいですが、「さようなら。また会いましょう。」

　会議の終了後に、短い時間でしたが、ワークシートに感想を書いてもらいました。

　そして、参加者ひとりひとりに感想を述べてもらいました。

　ボランティアスタッフのみなさんにも、それぞれ感想を述べてもらいました。

 　何はともあれ、無事開催できてひと安心です。

　これで、前回の小学生版と合わせ、小学生・中学生向けの国際会議を開催することができました。これを機に、毎年の定期開催にして行きたいと考えています。また、できれば高校生向けや大学生向け、また一般向けの国際会議や国際交流も企画していきたいと考えています。

We are very happy that the conference could be held without any big problems.
Now we held the international conferences for elementary school students and junior high school students.
We are going to hold international conferences for elementary school students and junior high school students annually.
At the same time, we are considering to hold international conferences for high school studetnts and university students and also for adults as well.

It is obviously important for any generation to communicate each other and exchange ideas and opinions beyond country borders to make the wold more peaceful.

 

2018年7月16日（月）「海の日」に行った、第二回事前研修の様子です。

今回のテーマは、「あなたの国や地域のなかで、世界の平和に貢献すると思う何かをひとつ紹介して下さい。」です。

　＊「何か」とは、例えば伝統や考え、人、歴史、もの、場所などを指します。

前回の研修で、テーマについての日本側の意見は「平和の礎」と決まりました。また、学校紹介の内容も決まっています。

今回は、それらの発表用資料を完成し、午後の本番に向けて発表の練習を行います。

スタッフは、会場づくりを行います。また、ネットワークの確認をし、相手校（3か国）との通信試験を行います。

　まずは資料の完成です。説明文も仕上げます。

 

　資料が完成したのち、テーマについての確認をします。

　テーマについての日本側の意見は「平和の礎」と決まりました。このテーマについて、いろいろの質問があることを想定して、スタッフから質問をします。本番に向けた予行演習です。

　回答で悩むところは、みんなで話し合います。

　最後に、実際のカメラの前で発表の練習です。

　スタッフも、本番に向けた会場づくりです。

　これで、午後3時からの本会議に間に合いそうです。

　今のところ、大きな問題は起きていません。よかったよかった。

2018年7月14日（土）午前中に行った、第一回事前研修の様子です。

 今回の「2018年 国際こども会議」は、中学生を対象とした国際会議です。

参加国は、日本（沖縄県全域）、タイ（バンコク）、台湾（台南市）、マレーシア（ペナン）の4カ国の中学生です。

事前研修では、テーマに沿った意見のまとめや、日本の紹介と言う意味での学校の紹介の内容をまとめます。その上で、発表のための資料づくりや発表の練習を行います。

今回のテーマは、「あなたの国や地域のなかで、世界の平和に貢献すると思う何かをひとつ紹介して下さい。」です。

　＊「何か」とは、例えば伝統や考え、人、歴史、もの、場所などを指します。

テーマについては、事前に配布したワークシートに各自記入していることを前提に、日本側としての意見をひとつ選択します。会議では、各国で選んだひとつの意見（合計４つ）をもとに、世界の平和について議論をしていく予定です。

 今回が1回目の事前研修となります。2度目が会議と同じ日の16日（月）です。

　事前研修の始まりです。みんな緊張のようす。

　まずは自己紹介から。スタッフから始めます。

　ボランティアスタッフも自己紹介

　そして、会議参加者の自己紹介。今回は総勢10名となりました。しかも、偶然全て女子です。

初対面の子供たちもいるので、緊張の様子です。

　まずは、会議の詳細を資料で確認します。

　そして、テーマについて事前に考えておいた自分の考えを、ひとりひとり発表します。

　それらの意見を記録して行きます。今回出た意見は以下の通り。

「慰霊の日」「平和の礎」「轟の壕」「日本の憲法」「沖縄の海」（海は世界中つながっている。そして、きれいな海は平和を表わしていると思うから。）、「音楽」（誰でも歌ったり踊ったりすれば楽しいし、みんな笑顔で幸せになれるから。）、「すし」（すしを食べれば、みんな「おいしい」と笑顔になる。それは世界の平和につながると思う。）

　全ての意見を取り終えて、最終的に「日本側」としての意見をひとつ選びます。

　結果は、「すし」となりました！　しかし、ちょっと待って。本当にそれでいいの？　例えば、インドの人が、「インドカレーが世界の平和に貢献する」と言ったら、みんな納得する？　・・・

改めてみんなで考えてもらい、最終的な結論として、「平和の礎」となりました。

今回、ひとりひとりの意見を出してもらって、すぐに採決してしまいました。採決の前に、ひとつひとつの意見について、みんなでしっかり考えることが必要だったと思います。

　次に、それぞれの国を簡単に紹介するという意味で、今回はお互いの学校を紹介することにしています。

そこで、学校の何を紹介するかについてアイデアを出し合いました。

そして、紹介する内容は、「給食」「部活」「掃除の時間」「校則」となりました。

　紹介する内容が決まったところで、それらを紹介するための資料づくりに入ります。

インターネットから、良さそうな写真を選んで印刷し、紙に張り付けて資料を作ります。

 　その間、ボランティアスタッフは、会場案内などの資料を作ります。

　ネットワークの試験も準備中です。

 

今回は、ここまで。発表の練習などは、次回（16日）の研修で行うことになりました。
