スプラタルカの活動

7月15日（月）に「2019年 中学生 国際こども会議」を無事開催しました。

日本（沖縄県）、台湾（台南市）、マレーシア（ペナン）、タイ（ランパン）の4カ国の中学生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿ってお互いの意見を交換しました。

今回のテーマは、「みんなの意見をきかせて！」（気になっていることを、みんなで話し合おう。）　です。

具体的には、各国からそれぞれ1個の「気になっていること」を出してもらい、それについて皆で話し合うという会議形式です。テーマそのものよりも、お互いで活発に意見交換をしてもらうことを期待した内容です。

また、それぞれの地域や学校の紹介も行いました。

心配していた参加者も、前回の事前研修3名から、最終的に10名となりました。
ほっとすると同時に、まだまだ一般に知られる努力が必要だと感じています。

We've held "International Conference for Junior High School Students 2019" on July 15 successfully.

Students from 4 countries (Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand) gathered on a screen and discussed together.

The theme is "Let's exchange opinions and ideas!" (Share what you are concerned about or what you are curious about.).

Each side brought one topic and discuss together. We expected them to participate discussion actively and exchange ideas and opinions to each other.

We also introduced "Our district and our school" to each other.

音声の問題などで少し遅れましたが、会議開催です。

There was sound trouble before we started, but we could start it anyway.

まずは、地域や学校の紹介から。日本側から発表します。

The first session was "Introduction of our region and our school". We started from Japan side.

他の国からも、自分たちの地域や学校の紹介があります。

There were also introductions from other sides (Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand).

次に、今回の主題である、お互いの「気になっていること」を発表して、みんなで議論していきます。

日本側は、「世の中の不平等の問題について」説明しました。

The next session is the main event. We introduce one topic from each side, and discuss together about it.

Japan side brought a topic: "Inequality in our society".

それについて、各国からの意見が発表されます。

There were opinions and questions from different sides about the topic.

お互いの意思疎通を図るため、スタッフ側で英語による通訳を行います。そうすることで、英語が出来なくても、国を越えた議論が可能です。

We translate English to Japanese and also Japanese to English so that students can communicate each other without language barriers.

他の国からも、自分たちの「気になること」について発表があります。それについて、同じようにみんなで議論していきます。

そして、お互いが意見や質問をしながら、4か国の子供たちがコミュニケーションを図っていきます。

それぞれの国から出された「気になること」は、

台湾：「学習のコツについて」

マレーシア：「10代が直面する問題について」

タイ：「ソーシャルメディアの影響について」

です。

Other sides also brought topics to discuss.

Through exchanging opinions and questions, students develop communication to each other.

Those topics are:

Taiwan: "Introduction of their daily school life and how to study and get better grades."

Malaysia: "Challenges/Problems faced by teenagers/young adults."

Thailand: "The effects of social media in the young generation."

会議の内容を、スタッフが記録していきます。

後半は、自由な意見交換の時間です。音楽の話やSNSの話で盛り上がっていました。

The last session is the free discussion time. They got excited talking about musics and SNS.

毎回、会議を終了するのがしのびなく、なかなか終わりのタイミングが取りにくいところです。

It is always difficult to find the timing to close the conference, because they looks so happy to communicate to each other. We feel sorry to close it every time.

楽しい会議を終えたところで、興奮した気持ちをそのまま、ワークシートに感想を書いてもらいます。

After the conference, students need to write down their honest impressions about today's conference.

そして、全員が今日の感想を発表します。

All students express their impressions to each other.

保護者や見学者からも感想を頂きました。

We also asked audiences to express their impressions.

今回も、大きな問題もなく会議が開催出来て、ひと安心です。

これをきっかけに、みんなが、それぞれに何かしら考え、行動してもらえればと願っています。

We are happy that there was not such serious problem during the conference, and see their smiles.

We always hope students who join the conference have chance to think and realize anyhow, and take action somehow.

7月15日（月）午後1時から「2019年 中学生 国際こども会議」の第2回事前研修を開催しました。

We held the 2nd preparation meeting for "International Conference for Junior High School Students 2019" on July 15.

はじめは、いつものごとくゲームから。
今回、一気に7名増えたので、お互いが仲良くなることから始めましょう。

改めて、自己紹介も。

1回目の事前研修で基本的な準備は終わっているので、今回はその仕上げと本番のリハーサルの予定です。
＊これまでの反省を踏まえ、会議当日は余力を残しておけるよう、事前研修の時間を短くしました。

今回の大事な作業は、日本側としての気になること「世の中の不平等の問題について」を分かりやすく伝えるため、その具体例をひとつ選ぶことです。

いくつか具体例が出た中で、「先輩・後輩の問題（年上が立場が強くて、年下は立場が弱い。）」となりました。

そこからは、2班に分かれて、「沖縄や学校を紹介」するグループと、「世の中の不平等の問題について」説明するグループとで、資料の仕上げを行いました。

資料が出来たら、発表の練習です。

　本会議前に無理をしないよう、今回研修の時間を短くしました。その分、リハーサルの時間などが十分に取れなかったことは反省点です。
　1回目の事前研修で、ほぼ資料の完成までやっておくことが大事だと分かりました。

　ほとんど休む間もなく、本番（国際会議）に臨みます。

 

7月6日（土）に「2019年 中学生 国際こども会議」の第1回事前研修を開催しました。

We held the first preparation meeting for "International Conference for Junior High School Students 2019" on July 6.

まずは、いつものごとくゲームで仲良くなりましょう。

今回は、悲しいことに3名の中学生のみの参加となりました。
（熱が出て来られなかった生徒もいました。）

せっかく新聞2紙に参加者募集の記事を掲載してもらい、県教育庁からも各中学校へ通知をしてもらったのですが、なかなか結果に表れません。やはり、まだ一般に認知されていないからなのでしょうか？

参加した3名は、積極的に研修に参加してくれました。

また、今回初めて大学生のボランティアスタッフも参加してくれました。

地図や写真を使って、参加校（台湾、マレーシア、タイ）の紹介をしました。

参加者全員に、今「気になっていること」を発表してもらいました。

スタッフがホワイトボードに記録していきます。

日本側として「気になること」が決まったところで、発表の準備に入ります。

これは、沖縄や学校を紹介するための資料作りの様子です。

「気になること」を分かりやすく説明するため、絵を使って表現しています。

参加者が少なくても、面白いものは面白い！

本番が楽しみです。

6月28日・29日にバンコクで開催されたソーシャルビジネスに関する世界大会「9th Social Business Day」に参加してきました。

　今回の Social Business Day は、タイのバンコクで開催されました。毎年この時期に開催されるソーシャルビジネスに関する世界大会で、去年はインドのバンガロールで開催されました。
去年は一人での参加でしたが、今回は理事の武藤さんや小野さんも参加して頂きました。

　ソーシャルビジネスは、「社会的企業」という言い方もされますが、社会的問題をビジネスの手法を用いて解決しようという取り組みのことです。寄付金などの外部資金に頼らず、自らが事業収益を上げながら継続的に課題解決に取り組むという仕組みが特徴です。

会場の雰囲気はこんな感じで、非常に豪華な会場でした。この世界大会は、ある意味ソーシャルビジネス関係者のお祭り的要素もありそうです。

オープニングには、たくさんの著名な方々がスピーチを行いました。

その後、各方面からのいろいろな成果報告がありました。

また、ディスカッション形式の発表もありました。

合間に、タイの民族舞踊なども披露されました。

2日間に渡るたくさんの報告の後、無事ソーシャルビジネスの世界大会は終了しました。

 

大会期間中に、各地域単位の部会も行われました。地域といっても世界大会なので、「日本部会」となります。

その中には、吉本興業のソーシャルビジネス事業の紹介もありました。

その中で、我々スプラタルカの活動についても紹介する機会を頂きました。

ビデオや写真、図を用いて資料を準備しました。

ただ、結論としていえば、発表の準備不足で指定時間内に収まり切れず、強制的に終了となってしまいました。
せっかくの機会だったので、伝えるべきはしっかり伝える準備をするべきだったと大いに反省しています。

 

今回のSocial Business Day参加に先立ち、その事務局であり連携先でもあるAIT（Asian Institute of Technology）のYCA（Yunus Center AIT）を、挨拶も兼ねて訪問しました。

研究室責任者のFaiz Shar 教授はおられませんでしたが、忙しい中スタッフのみなさんが親切に対応してくれました。

 

また、大会の直前に北のチェンマイを訪ね、いくつかの学校を訪問してきました。

 

その後、1校具体的に動きそうでしたが、今は中断したままです。継続的なコンタクトが大事だと思っています。

 

日本にもそうですが、世界には同じような考えを持って実際に行動している人々がたくさんいます。そのような人達とのネットワークづくりという意味でも、このような世界大会への参加は意義あることだと思います。

今後も、出来る限りこのような場に参加し、スプラタルカの活動を紹介し、また意見交換をしていきたいと思っています。

今回は高校生が対象です。

「大人って何？」というテーマについて、3つの質問をもとに議論を進めます。誰にでもあてはまるテーマであり、またその分奥深いテーマなので、議論の展開が楽しみでした。

まずは、お互いの文化紹介という意味で、「大人になるための伝統行事や儀式」の紹介を行います。日本側からは、「成人式」を紹介します。
We started from Cutural Introduction. "Introduction of traditional events or rituals to become an adult." Japan side introduced Seijinshiki (Coming of Age Day ceremony).

英語で表現するのは、なかなか大変そうです。

台湾からは、「做十六歲」という行事の紹介がありました。

インドネシアからは、「Tarapan」という、女性のための儀式が紹介されました。

みんな、それぞれ長い感想を書いていたので、いろいろと感じた所があるのでしょう。

今回初めて高校生を対象とした国際会議を開催しました。
やはり高校生にとっても価値あるものであることを納得したところです。

今回は、特に運営にも高校生に参加してもらいました。いろいろ大変でしたが、運営スタッフとして参加した高校生にとっても、よい経験となったこととも思います。

新聞社やテレビ局の取材がなかったのは残念ですが、このような同世代の子供たちが一堂に会してお互いの意見を直接交換する機会を提供する価値やその役割を、改めて確信することろです。

今後も、小学生・中学生・高校生対象の国際会議を定期的に開催していきます。

This is the first time to organize a conference for high school students.
Then we realized that it is also valuable for them to hold this kind of conferences.

This time, we invited high school students as main staff. It was not easy to organize it, but we are sure that they had important experiences as main staff.

Unfortunately, no reporters of newspapers or TV stations came to report the conference this time. But we are sure that it is quite imortant for children to meet each other and exchange ideas together globally, and it is our responsibility to offer that opportunity for children over the world.

We are going to organize this kind of video conferences or communication activities regularly.

会議参加者の感想をまとめました。

マレーシア、インドネシアはとても似ていて驚いた。
定期試験の時間を削ってまで会議に出てくれて、とてもうれしかった。
責任感を持ったり、他人に頼られたり、自信を持っているなど、どの国も考えは同じだということが分かった。
大人になっていく過程で、成熟した大人になれるように、いろんなことにチャレンジして学んでいきたい。
この日を迎えるまでいろいろあったけど、無事終えられてよかったです。
大人は責任感があるという意見が多かったので、そのような大人になりたいと思いました。
こんな会議はあまりないので、参加して楽しかったです。
どの国でも、考えていることは人間として同じなんだということが分かりました。
どの国も、責任感のある大人を理想としている。自分もそう思う。
このような場があることは、私にとってとてもうれしいです。
マレーシアも台湾もインドネシアも、みんなスムーズに英語を話していたし、自主的にたくさんの質問もしていたので、すごいなと思った。
やっぱり国によって儀式は違うけど、どのような大人になりたいかは似ていて、すごいなーって思いました。
たくさんの刺激を受けることができたけど、自分が思う大人についての考えは変わらなかった。
でも、「どんな大人になりたい？」のところでは、自分が考えている意見と同じだったので、国が違っても同じ考えがあった。
大人になったら、私も「バラの風呂」に入りたい。

Summary and Impressions of the conference of Students. (Japan side)

Most students thought that ideas of "an adult" are not very different each other even countries are different. On the other hand, traditions or rituals to become an adult are different to each other.

# I think Responsibility, Reliability by others, Self-confidence are the key words of "an adult" which seems to be almost the same to all sides.
# I realized that everybody in the world has almost the same idea as a human.
# On the way to become an adult, I want to try many things and learn, to become an matured person.
# I want to become an adult who has responsible to others. Because that was the opinion of many students.
# I couldn't express my opinion even I have prepared it in advance.
# There is not much chance to take an opportunity like this. Then I am very happy to join today.
# I was surprised that students of Malaysia and Indonesia are similar to each other.
# I am very happy to hear that some schools even changed their school schedules to join this conference.
# I am very surprised that students of Malaysia, Taiwan and Indonesia were all speaking in English and asking questions actively during the conference.
# I am happy to see different cultures and traditions from different countries.
# I want to take a Rose bath when I become an adult.

3月21日（木）に「2019年 高校生国際会議」の第2回事前研修を開催しました。

このあと（午後）の本会議に向けた最後の事前研修です。

この事前研修で、発表内容に仕上げと、会議の簡単なリハーサルを行いました。

相手校3校が全て授業としての参加なので、こちらも相手に合わせて制服としました。

 

会場づくりや受付の準備から始めました。

今回は中学生がボランティアスタッフとして手伝ってくれます。

本会議の内容と今日の作業を確認します。

さっそくグループに分かれての作業です。これは、「大人になるための伝統行事や儀式」の紹介として「成人式」の資料を仕上げているところです。A3のパネルに写真を張って仕上げます。

こちらは、「大人について」の意見を、英語で発表できるように英文に仕上げています。短く分かりやすい表現にしなくてはなりません。

こちらは、前回の事前研修に参加してないメンバーを中心に、「大人について」の意見を交換し合って整理しているところです。まずは日本語での議論で各自の意見をまとめてもらいます。

このような形で、午後の本会議に向けた準備を進めました。

3月16日（土）に「2019年 高校生国際会議」の第1回事前研修を開催しました。

今日は10名の高校生が参加してくれました。（3月21日の第2回の事前研修からの参加者もいます。）

参加者は、いろいろな地域から来てくれています。

今回の事前研修は、まずはお互いの顔合わせと、3月21日の国際会議に向けた準備をするためのものです。

最初はみんな緊張しているので、毎回ゲームをやって仲良くなってもらいます。

今回は、「大人って何？」というテーマについて、3つの質問をもとに本番に向けた議論を行いました。誰にでもあてはまるテーマであり、またその分深いテーマなので、議論も途中途中沈黙を伴いながら、意見を述べ合ってくれました。みんなが納得する意見も多いので、言葉として引き出す工夫が必要だと感じたところです。

一通りの議論の後、本番に向けて各自が自分の意見を英語に直していきます。

また、うしろの方では、お互いの文化紹介という意味で、「大人になるための伝統行事や儀式」について準備しています。

After discussion, they translate their opinions into English so that they can express their opinions in English.

3月2日に、「2019年 高校生国際会議」開催のための実行委員会を行いました。（第3回）

今回は、募集の役割分担と、事前研修に向けた準備です。各学校にポスターを張って、個別に案内をしていきます。

次回は、3月16日の事前研修となります。
